Is it possible to use a t-mobile data plan through the infrared on a motorola phone to a pocket pc? It becomes expensive when dialing into my ISP through infrared from the pocket pc. I would like to use a data plan, because it is unlimited, but I don't know how to configure it on the pocket pc.

This works with Wi-Fi phones easily though, right? (Don't have a Wi-Fi pocket pc: iPAQ 1935)

Yes. I'm on my PPC now so can't search. Do a search for *posts* by me, and terms like EM-500, Samsung, GPRS and maybe t68. It is a thread where I was helping an EM-500 user get online with T-Mobile on a Samsung something-105 phone.

I moved this to the wireless forum so if you have any trouble, it'll get the attention of other wireless users.

If the phone is a gsm phone, then there shouldn't be any problems using IR with your PPC through TMobile. I don't have the instructions for gprs setup, but maybe the techs at TMobile can help.
