I have Resco's Explorer v4.3 and noticed a file named ignore_my_docs on my storage card and iPaq file store. I never gave it much thought, until I accidentaly deleted it from my storage card and now when I look for a file using, lets say pocket word, the files on my storage card do not show up.

Does anyone know the purpose behind this file, and whether or not copying the file from the iPaq file store and saving it to my storage card will fix finding files using an application?

I can still see and use all of the files on my storage card, but now have to open the file explorer to get to them instead of just opening the application and browse for the files that way.

Thanks for any help,
Dave

A quick search (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/search.php) of the forums for "ignore_my_docs" turned up a few previous threads on this subject. You might want to take a look at this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2863) for a useful description of the file and why it exists.

Thanks Dave.
I forgot about doing a search first.
That thread explained everything.
Thanks again.

Any time! That's one of those things that we had to figure out by ourselves since Microsoft didn't document it anywhere that users could find.
