I recently broke the screen on my iPAQ 3975 and will be getting a check from my insurance company for replacement value (between $650-$750).

If you had $650 to $750 to spend on a new Pocket PC, what would you get? My only requirements are that it has bluetooth. Would you get another 3975, or spring for one of the newer HP units? They don't SEEM to have anything much over my 3975 (I don't need unreliable biometrics) but I may be missing something. Would you get some other brand?

Thanks,

Tom

Why not get the Toshiba e805 with it's VGA screen. You'd need to get a BT card as well for your CF slot.

That is the current technology leader in PPC and you can put the system together in your budget.

I wouldn't get another brand. Unless if HP Customer service went down the drain.

I bought my 3955 because of the Customer Service and the Expansion pack capabilities. If I broke mine, I would either get 2215 since it has the CF slot or the 5555, too bad the 5555 don't have NEVO in it. With the 5555, I could still use my expansion slot from my 3955. If this was me with $650.

I'd get an iPAQ 4150 and a big SD card. :D

EDIT: Actually, if the goal is to get the replacement value of your PDA and you won't get a cheque to spend as you wish, I'd buy an iPAQ 5555 (the current equivalent to your Pocket PC), sell it on eBay, THEN buy the 4150 and big SD card.
