I have two IPAQ's that I want to sync under my user ID (I am an adminstrator). Each IPAQ has it's own name. At first, everything was working fine as long as I changed the name under Activesync and turned off the PDA that I didn't want to sync. Then it got to the point that I had to reboot my PC everytime I wanted to sync a different PDA. Now, I can only sync one PDA and the other will not sync at all. I click on "get connected" and I get either the USB is not available or error. The connection to the PC seems fine.

Any suggestions? I am using 3.71 and the latest version of Windows 2000.

Have you tried deleteing the partnerships and recreating them?

Also, you might roll back to AS 3.7 as there seems to be problems with 3.7.1.

I have XP Pro with AS 3.7 and sync two different iPaqs under the same log-in. I sync my 3635 and remove it from the cradle before I sync my 3950. I have not had any problems.

Are you using the same cradle for both? I have a 2210 and a 3955 and need two separate connections. I tried deleting the one partnership but when I connect to the cradle nothing happens.

I have two different cradles also. Have you tried moving to a different USB port for the one that is giving you troubles? Don't forget, try going back to AS 3.7 and see if that solves the problem. Were you syncing both before you installed AS 3.7.1?

No, I did not have the 2210 when I upgraded. But I did do a reinstall of 3.71 when I got it. Do I need to remove activesync or can I just reinstall the old version over the new?

My 3955 just did a sync. First time in several days. Don't know what changed??? I will still downgrade.

I would do an uninstall of 3.7.1 before you installed 3.7.

That's the one predictable thing about AS, is that it is unpredictable . You should have better luck with 3.7 though.

OK, I downgraded. I work with it for a few days and let you know.
