Nor did HP provide an OS upgrade for the 1910 before so for the 1945 HPs track record is spotty as well.

Iīm from Chile, and i usually buy in USA stores, (at great prices of course) using the lanbox service. (www.lanboxusa.com)
It works this way: they assing you a PO Box in Miami, FL. The adress looks likes just a regular street adress, and you have your own "apparment" in Miami. But at that place, they forward the packet to your country. This is really cheap, usually no more than 20$ per package. They also pay for you all customs taxes, and charge them to your credit card. I donīt know if their web page is available in italian language, but they do cheap to Italy, and most europe countries. Itīs seems to be popular in Spain, also.

Just one detail: Most USA stores do not accept foreing credit cards, or shipping to an adress different to the credit card holder adress . But Amazon do both things. Or you can ask your bank an american express cards, since those have only one series for all the world.

OK, forget about it, they don't offer their services to any European countries except Spain and France. What's up with that ?!?!?

Yah, I got a 1910 as a birthday present when I was visiting the US last may, a month later WM2k3 was released and no upgrade for the lil machine.
When I visited the US again in August I was torn between the 2215 and 1945, in the end I went for the 2215 for the dual slots.

I like the 2215 but damn the screen on the 1910 is awesome and the formfactor of the 19xx series is so sweet.

Makes me want a 4xxx series now(use wifi whenever I can find a hotspot with a CF wifi card) but ill have to wait now for when more VGA res machines become available.

Meanwhile I might pick me up a sigmarion or something in Japan.

Why? I just checked and they do send to Italy ... try this link:

http://www.lanboxusa.com/home.asp?id=it

Italy is on the list of the countries...

Here is another link to register:

https://www.lanboxusa.com/register.asp

You also get a free magazine suscription with your registration, but remember that theyīll charge you $5 for each magazine received. Of course, you may choose not to receive any magazines.

Just ordered up a 1945 for my wife - she wants to read books, watch movies and have bluetooth GPS navigation. 8)

One point - I bought from Best Options Direct (I ordered last night and they've already shipped), and a simple search shows that they have an extremely high rating from ebay. While looking through the reviews, I noticed that MP Superstore has the most obvious and excessive false reviews I've ever seen - the first 8 pages or so of feedback are almost exactly alike, and the pages after that are filled with really, REALLY scary reviews. 8O

Not telling you who to order from, of course, but I thought I'd pass it on since I took the time to dig through the reviews.
