WMA playback with Windows Media Player 9.....

It has massive gaps between tracks and also a click at the start and end of every track.

I am using the IPAQ H1930.

I remember the same with my IPAQ 3760 and 3970.

It's a sign that you shouldn't use WMP, I'd suggest you go download PocketMusic, it's a great player with a lot of features. It is an excellent program and I even paid the $15 to upgrade to teh feature pack. It has wma support so it is compatible. Also, the playlist editor is much easier to use than WMP. So my advice is simply to switch players, it's your best fix.

I use WMP exclusively on my Axim x5 and don't see the same behavior at all. Are you creating the WMA files directly from CD or are you converting them from another format?
