I haven't used one personally, but I've used several of the Proporta/Innopocket aluminum cases (they're the same things) for other iPAQs (2215, 1900) and they've been excellent. I don't think you can go wrong with this. :D

I just ordered mine, great price at $19.99. International shipping is nice for $12, saves a friend in the US shipping it on to me.

Case will make a nice change from my normal leather HP one.

I've never been particularly interested in a hard-shell case for my PDA -- criminey, I'm not skydiving with the thing! -- but for $20, how could you refuse?!?

Shadowcat,

Thank you for your interest in the promotion that we are currently holding at Ipaqcases.com. I would like to inform you that the promotion is on untill the site owner says so! :D There is no given time, and he will tell the readers when it is over.

On a different note, we are holding a contest in the forums http://www.ipaqcases.com/forum/index.php that you could win a case for you iPaq!

Best of luck in both situations,

-Justin.

Well, I ended up buying one of these, since I had been wanting to get a decent case for my 2215 without having to pawn my watch to buy it (those Vaja cases look nice, but DAMN! they're not cheap).

It's definitely worth the 26 dollars I paid for it (including shipping). I liked it so much, I bought one for my boss (he's got a 1910).

The only thing that kind of worried me was scratching the 2215 with the case's top lips (the lips were touching the 2215 directly), so I stuck some Velcro (the soft side, of course) on each of the four, and now the 2215 slides on the Velcro, not the case.

Here's a pic:

(The black thing on the back of the case is Velcro too, to attach the 2215 to my monitor at work. )

Highly recommended.

Anyone have experience with the Axim X5 cases from this site? I've been using the soft (and rather bulky) case that shipped with my device. What better time to look for an upgrade than Christmas?

The interior is lined with Neoprene, including the lips - mine is anyways. I had that same thought, but I saw it was protected.

The neoprene on mine didn't go all the way to the lips, and the 2215 was in direct contact with the aluminum. I didn't want to return it, though, since fixing it took me a couple of minutes.
One thing I liked about the case for the 1910 is the white plastic heads attached to the metal thingies on the inside of the case to secure the 1910 (if you've seen the case, you know what I'm talking about...). The ones on the 2215 case are all metal. I guess I'm anal about not scratching my 2215, but I want to keep it as new as possible.
Great cases, all things considered.

Is the "40% off" deal still running?

Do I need a promo code to get the discount?

Thanks.

Re: Ipaq 19xx Hard Case

Is there even the slightest possibility that the SD card holder thingy might contact and crack the screen? I mean, even metal will flex some. Let's say, for instance, you have the hard cased pda in your shirt breast pocket and you lean against a post or tall railing where your chest is pressing against the object...is there enough clearance inside the case to allow for the enevitable flex?

I like the idea of having the SD holder for a 2nd card that I plan to use soley for a large collection of MP3s, but not at the risk of damaging the screen.

Thanks for the PM Tim,

However, I cannot answer your question regarding the promotion, I dont deal with those :|

But no, the SD card does not contact the screen, it firmly goes in place and wont scratch. I have the 2215 case, it is excellent.

I can find out for you wether or not the deal is still on.

Thanks,

Justin.

The deal is still running. I just ordered a shiny new 1900 case last week and got it last night. Looks great and the price was excellent! Just use the original promo link and you should be set:
