If you have a friend with an Ipaq, maybe they can beam you Nevo. My IR isn't comsumer grade, so I have no idea if that would work or if Nevo can be shared that way.

Which one did you find for $50? Not for free, but, Griffin technology sells I think for about $30 for the software and an extender device that plugs into your headphone jack Called Total remote.

Handango has a couple that you can try out called VITO Remote, NoviiRemote PPC. The Griffin tech remote is also available for trial without the extender device.

I've had no luck finding one with preprogrammed support for Sharp. My remote control is in a box in storage and I can't get to it, so was hoping to have a preprogrammed controller for the IPAQ for the TV. Anyone know of one that will work with Sharp tvs?

TV remote controller lets you download pre-programmed skins/commands for most devices but unfortunately, the process is rather slow and tedious. On the other hand, almost all the remote control programs lets you "learn" the required device provided you had the original to start with.

I'm not familiar with nevo or vito but i've heard good things about both. But you can download trials from handango as always and besides, the programs are all around $15 only anyway.

One last thing, most IPAQ's have horrible IR ports with really short range (1-2m at most) so definitely download a trial to make sure it suits your needs before forking out your cash.
