Linksys 802.11b CF [Archive] - Thoughts Media Forums

I just happened to notice that my local CompUSA has the Linksys 802.11b CF card for $29 after rebate. I am just curious if anyone knows the status of this card on Windows Mobile 2003. I notice that there are no drivers for this OS on there web site.

Has anyone been successful getting it to run on an iPaq 2215?

Is it a WCF11 or WCF12?

For WCF12, there's a giant thread here (http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88086&highlight=WCF12), and I'm pretty sure they got drivers to work...[/url]

I think it is a WCF12. It blows my mind that a big company like Linksys still hasn't updated their drivers for WM2003.

I agree, though I think in the thread it was mentioned that Linksys will release one, but they're not planning on it anytime soon... I'm not sure if that's the case, but at least there are drivers out htere that work

err they've released beta drivers 2 months ago, they work fine btw, so there is no reason to bash em :lol:

For the WCF11? Last response I got from their (un)support staff just a few weeks ago was that they were still working on them. No mention of beta drivers.

I am using the Socket WLAN card now in my 2215, so it's really a mute point about the Linksys (for me).

well i don't know about the drivers for WCF11, but i thought we were talking about drivers for WCF12 and they have those out
