I wish I had been born into such a family! When are you going to give "the talk" (Palm vs Pocket PC, that is)?

TY!!

Gotta wait until he truly understands the difference. Cannot try to force feed these things such as the Palm vs PPC debate, otherwise he may wind up switching to the "Dark Side" ;) Right now it will be a weekly venture in the PRO's of the PPC :)

Hold it... I thought we had already switched to the Dark Side? According to my Palm loving friend all WM2003 users are agents of the Sith!

Name: Aidan (pronounced A-dan) MacTeer Drew
Weight: 8lb 4oz
Length: (including suction they had to use to remove him) 22" I think

Here is what I posted to my site:

This morning at 11:32AM my wife gave birth to an 8lb 4oz baby boy. His Name is Aidan MacTeer Drew and is our second addition to the family.

Labor was induced by choice at roughly 8:15AM and lasted about 3hr 15min. The last 1 ˝ hr was of course rather difficult. There were some slight complications to the pregnancy once Aidan started coming out. His heart rate dropped dramatically to about 40 beats per min and once his head came out he was “stuck” on his shoulders and Cindy’s pelvis bone. The doctor had called in the Neo Natal unit so the room quickly jumped from 2-3 people to about 13 people. I was quite scared for awhile as the doctors and nurses scrambled to help Cindy push. I of course moved out of the way as about 6-7 of them helped her. Once they got Aidan out he was rushed to the Neo Natal cart where they began working on him. It took about 2-3 min before we heard a cry. From what we could gather he was not breathing on his own yet. Again, Cindy and I were quite worried. After he started crying things seemed to get better, but they did have to take him to the Neo Natal Special Care facility for a good portion of the day to monitor his vital signs. When it was all over the doctor told us that once the head is out, they have 4 min to get the baby out, otherwise they push him back in and perform an emergency C-Section. Aidan was at 2-3 min when they finally got him removed. The doctor even stated he was worried.

Well, after all that and several hours later, I am happy to report that both Mom and baby are doing well and recovering nicely. Over the next few days I will be posting a few shots to the site for you all to see."

All in all, was pretty scary, but in the end the good Lord blessed us with a healthy baby!

TY all for the comments :)

Side note - I realized this well after I took the picture:

-Aidan had an HP2215 in his grips
-My 10yr old was playing games on my HP Pavilion ZT1260 laptop while he waited for the birth
-All pictures were done by my HP Photosmart 912 Digital Camera

This was not intentional -- purely coinciedence. Just so happenned was all I had at the time.

Lets just keep this confidential considering I work for Big Blue! :\

Congratulations, svx! Very cute little guy. And smart, too -- he's already figured out that a 2200 is better than a blanket or a teddy bear.

Thank you all for the nice comments!

Mom and baby came home yesterday morning and are doing well. Last night was rather interesting - he is already spoiled. He will only sleep while held. I suppose he is used to breathing patterns after being in the womb for 9 months.

Anyway, this week we will begin learning about the "stylus". How to grip it, etc. ;)

Congrats!

Too cute! And if he's really as smart as he looks, he'll be beaming those 3 am feeding and poop change requests to your pda! Or else he'll just gnaw on that ipaq until you decide to get up!

I don't think he has any teeth yet, let alone blue ones. Let's hope they aren't Blueteeth--the crying during the teething period may never end.

It's an adorable picture. It did give me a little shiver though... Brave New World and everything. Anyway, congrats on your baby, and your new son, too.

Congrats, but be sure that you keep that device when it's time to upgrade, or Aidan will make you share the new one!

no kidding, that is a good question :) then again the way he was holding that 2215, he appears to have made his choice of os.
