I've been using the Instant power adaptors with my Jornada and mobile phones for a while now, and I must say; I'm quite a fan. It's probably not the best charging system around but I especially like the zinc-air battery.

Anyway, here's my problem: Instant Power doesn't have a 'smart cord' (their adaptor cable) for the IPAQ 2210, my current PDA.

However their Ipaq 3xxx adaptor connects thru the standard Ipaq external power connection plug (also supplied with the Ipaq 2210), so it seems that you could use this adaptor with the 2210.

Question: has anyone ever had some hands-on experience with this, or, does anyone know if the Ipaq 3xxx and the Ipaq 2210 use the same power configuration for external power?
Am I even right in assuming the power plug for the 3xxx and the 2210 are the same?

If you've never heard of instant power, check it here (http://www.instant-power.com)

I’m not sure about your adapter issue. I would contact HP for assistance so that you don’t accidentally damage your PDA.

This Instant Power is interesting, but it is only good for up to three uses. If this was something you planned to use a lot, you would end up with a reoccurring expense that is rather pricey. I guess it would be ideal for a power outage.

On the other hand, I was thinking about buying this once I made my mind up on which iPAQ to buy.

Sorry I could not be of any help, but I would contact HP to be on the safe side. Good luck.
