i've been trying different software and after an attempt to 'uninstall' it, i'm
still getting this error message after turning the unit ON. (ipaq 5150 wm2003):

notification error: cannot execute \windows\atwakeup.exe

i have 'resco reg edit' to play with registry but where should i start?

thanks.

I don't suppose you have any "left over" links in your startup folder?

nope, i've gone there and there's nothing related to the error...

Use Remover:

Run Remover, goto notify queue and delete the entries causing the errors.

I don't currently have alarmToday installed (although I'm about to try
latest version), but have you tried searching for either 'atwakeup' or
'alarmtoday'?

A better approach IMO would be to use S_K's excellent Remover program.
That lets you examine the Notify Queue and delete selected entries.

Mind you, despite trying various sources, I've so far not found an
understandable explanation of what the various entries mean. The
interpretation of that Notify Queue database seems surprisingly
complex. But I guess you have little to lose by deleting that
alarmToday entry, presumably with the confidence of a recent backup
behind you.

Using iPAQ 2210 with WM2003.

Try WM2003 hot patch. I had the similar error message and it resolved the problem.
