wm 2003 - Hangs when changing today picture

Not all the time but 8 times out of 10 my pocket pc hangs when i change the today picture and then has to be soft reset - this happens all the time when i choose my own pictures. Any one else had this issue ?

Never had a problem changing the picture. Are you using your own picture files as "desktop backgrounds" or some other files? Are you changing these through the Today setup or through the Picture Viewer?

Granted, I don't have an HP device (I have an Axim), but I wouldn't think this to be hardware specific.....

Using my own pictures through Picture Viewer, this always requires a reset even though i have resized the picture to 240x320 but also adding pictures using the today options occasionally causes the ipaq to hang.

Sounds like the size (KB, MB, etc.) of the picture may be the issue not the dimensions. If it is a large one it will take more time to load that the standard today screen pictures which are usually small.
