Dung Cleaner is supposed to be a game based on the classic Lode Runner. PPCT moderator Kati Compton noticed that Asus is now bundling this uniquely-named product with their A620BT, and hypothesized that the translation started at "Load Runner" instead of "Lode Runner" and went downhill from there.

The interesting part is, the game looks pretty good. I guess it goes to show how important it is to hire translators with a native sense of a language...

Are you serious? This is a case of mis-translation and NOT humor?

Not sure; that's our theory. Read into it as you see fit. If it wasn't mistranslation, at least a translator would have clued them in to the implications of the title... 8O

Hah! I've had this game for a long time now, and have never been able to get past level 3. Guess I should stick with Scrabble and Bobble, right?

I won't even touch this...

This game smells a little funny...

I wonder if there is a version number 2?

Is there such a thing as "clean dung?"

Yes, page of company riddled with many mistakes and bad mistakes. Thinks I that the names is a translations mistake.

The naughty Mr.Dung cleaner got away from school to play through each stage. His mission is to clean the all (Dungs) in this stage. Red school police's mission is to catch the Mr.Dung and send him back to school. Mr.Dung can dig a hole to bury the red school's police. He can not pass to the next stage until all (Dungs) are cleaned.

...

The world record was 22000 points created by game designer's wife to get it.

How often to you get the challenge of beating the game designer's wife's high score?

Actually I have to admit I uninstalled it shortly after I tried it on my A620BT. I've found better Lode Runner games under various emulators. I wasn't really impressed with any of the software that came on the bundled CD, but I didn't buy the device for the software bundle. I didn't even take the CD out until a week had passed.

Dung cleaner?... 8O

If that is translated, from what language? In what language could "dung cleaner" have anything remotely to do with a game title?.....
