<grovel>This has probably been asked several times, before, but I couldn't find it, so forgive me in advance if I sound like too much of a noob... </grovel>

What's the difference (if any) between the HP iPaq 4150 and 4155?

I know that in the past HP has manufactured identical units (Jornada 545 and 548), but packaged them differently (different programs, cradle options, etc.). Is that what they're doing here? What are the differences?

Thank you all, in advance!

there is no physical difference the 4150 is sold via online channels and the 4155 is sold via retail channels.

Thanks for the quick reply, Christopher.

Just to clarify, you're saying that not only are the units the same, but the packaging/accessories as well?

I believe that the same explanation applies to the 55 series? Is it 45 and 50?

As regards the box content, I was told the only difference would relate to geography - IE USA/Europe - not certain how accurate this is...

That's my understanding, yes...

The box will probably look different, I'd say that's it. My 2215 that I bought at Circuit City came in a pretty colorful box with pictures on the side, whereas my 4150 from eCost came in a brown box. Absolutely nothing different about the functionality of the device or what is included though.

You guys are the greatest! I haven't seen such a helpful and friendly group of people since the days of the Newton! :)

there's an article that explains this here (http://www.ipaq.net/Articles/getTip.aspx?articleID=87)

I'm pretty sure that all Compaq / HP iPAQs have followed this paradigm. 3100, 3600, 3700, etc.
