Nevo 2215 and 4150? [Archive] - Thoughts Media Forums

I have been reading short reviews about the 4150. I know that the 2215 has the Nevo software. However, I have read in some places that the 4150 does have it and in others it doesn't. Does anyone know for sure if the 4150 comes with Nevo.

I just got my 4150 and it does not come with Nevo. The IR port is on the lower left side also.

Would a TV Remote Software application work? Does it matter the IR port is on the bottom of the PDA? Is it even worth it?

Yes, a remote control sw will work, but since it's not a consumer IR (I think), you may not get the range that you want. I like using TV remote controller (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=X4BEFX74F7D576E1982175F46643CD68&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=20011&advSearch=true§ionId=0&keyWords=remote+control&catalog=30&txtSearch=remote+control) because the buttons are far enough for big fingers to use.

This SW and some others allow you to turn the buttons so PPCs with IRs on the right side will not matter.
