Some how the avantgo on my 2210 is kaput. I tried to install the client but it won't work.
Can I backup all, and perform a hard reset and then restore from my backup all the other files and programs?

I just went through this yesterday with my 1940. I tried what you just propsed and it did not work. I had to do a hard reset and then a fresh rebuild.

Well, that didn't last long. It's not working once again. When I try to reinstall AG is just tells me that there is already a newer version on my device and will not let me proceed. Anyone have any ideas?

Have a look at this : http://www.pc-counselor.com/h221x.htm
May be you find a clue there...
(for instance, which files to rename to avoid the "newer version" message)

Thank You, it works for me too. I can now sync from my PC at work and my notebook at home.

I lost my Avantgo icon in the programs. Anyway to get it back.
Now to go to view Avantgo i have to choose PIE and choose it from the favorites.

I had problems, too (Dell Axim w/2003 upgrade). It started when I tried to clear the cached pages in prep for a backup. They didn't clear completely. Then I messed things up real bad trying to fix that. But this fix did it.

I am a bit curious, though, as the files on the device are different. So it's not a replacement of the files that were there before, but they are different files. In the end, though, it works. Thanks for passing along the tip.
