Hi,

for those former Palm users - have you ever tried SpaceTrader game? If yes, then what's good replacement for that on PPC?

I haven't found too much similar games so far. Pocket Elite was one of the best I've found (and, btw, I remember times when I was playing it on my good ol' Speccy).

So the question is - does anybody know any good space-trading-like game?

There is a game called Space Trecker and you can get it at http://www.sundialsoft.freeserve.co.uk/

I remember seeing it a while back. Still i'd prefer Elite.

Don't you guys think that most of PPC software is overpriced? Compared to what we have on Palm... Whoa! :(

I don't know about Palm prices, and there's a great deal of PPC software that is reasonably priced. It's *possible* that this *isn't* overpriced... It would just have to be really good. ;)

But pricing issues of PPC software in general is a topic for another thread, not this one...

Space Trader for Palm was modeled on Elite. There is a PPC version of Elite, but it's not released yet because of some copywrite issues.

There is a beta you can try, you need to sign up for it on the Elite site http://www.eliteppc.com/index.htm

I believe it has all the game functions, other than games can't be saved.
