Well after reading tons of reviews, I came to the stated and implied conclusion that the screen for the 4100 is the same as of the 1940... I also heard that the 1940 had been having problems with a yellow tint aspect to it.... But someone on PPCT said that could be change with a simple change in the settings... is this true? Screen quality and the "White effect" are very important for me. SO this will play a big role in me deciding whether I get one or not...

As with any PPC purchase try to look at one on person before buying.

I saw the 4150 earlier this week at a Sydney Pocket PC User Group meeting (visit www.jenneth.info for more info) but I can say the screen looked Ok but had the yellowish tinge when viewed at certain angles.

However, there is a "fix". If you use a utility to create a custom color scheme you can make your own whitre that does not have the yellow tinge.

I can't post the link to this as I'm at a airport kiosk that doesn't let me do copy/paste for the exact url of the thread but it is in the forums here somewhere

If you check out the front page threads about the 4100, apparently even though the 4100 has the same screen as the 1930/45, HP says that the 4100 does not have the same yellow problem.

Yes, but of COURSE HP is going to say that :) I'd be more interested in confirmation from people with actual firsthand experience with the device and no obvious bias....

Brill? Is that like Brillo?

 Perhaps appyling a bit of Brillo would brighten those screens up!

I agree wiht the post to test it out yourself. Someone esle can think it has a tint of yellow and then when you are a the store buying it may think to yourself that there isnt. The term relative would fit in here, and no not someone related to you;)
that is one crazy box of cleaner:)
