Hi All

apologies for my newbie question, but the 1940 can apparently accept SD or MMC card memory. The MMC memory is much cheaper than the SD card memory, so why should I buy SD?

Thanks

No reason AFAIK if the size you want is offered in both styles. I think the 256MB SD card might be faster than a 256 MMC, but I could be making that up. I know the 256MB SD cards are faster than the 128MB SD cards.

For now, SD cards seem to come in larger sizes than MMC cards, generally.

No, you're not making it up. SD Cards are faster than MMC Cards. Its just the nature of the format of the card (plus other techno stuff I don't pretend to understand... )

Anyway, you probably want to get as big an SD card as you can afford. I recently bought a 512MB SanDisk SD Card for $150. It was a great buy and I have lots of space for music, video and other fun stuff...
