I was over at PocketGamer.org (http://www.pocketgamer.org) and have been following this thread (http://www.pocketgamer.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2966) on a new game in development. There is a
public beta (http://www.hyperforge.com/) and personally, I think it shows ALOT of promise.

Looks interesting, but I was discouraged by comments about load time on the comment thread.

I think I'll wait for 1.0 to install.

The load time is about 30 seconds on my 221x device. The game however, is awesome (huge potential and already very playable) and as such, worth the wait in loading time! The game gets better with each update and the developer is implementing much of the feedback given him.

I concur. This game is definately worth checking out. Especially if you are a Battlefield 1942 fan. There have been a lot of improvements and the developers have been very receptive to user comments in the forums. They have been impressive in the amount they have implemented in a short time, turning out improved versions with tons of user requested changes within weeks of being announced. The load times are just fine (under 30 seconds) on my iPAQ 3955.

You can drive tanks!@

awwwww... :(

When I read the subject, I was hoping someone was making Axis and Allies (http://www.axisandallies.org) for the Pocket PC. Then I'd never put my PPC down!

This game is much more ambitious than just a strategy game. When they get version 2 done with different elevations, it will nearly become a BF1942 clone.

Just installed it and played it for a few minutes! VERY COOL! Gameplay is acceptable, speed is okay. I would've like to see FULL sound, instead of just for the largest of explosions. A "bang" when I shoot is what I'm looking for.

Only got about 8-12 FPS on my Axim 400 (PXA250).
