What is a good MP3 software/player for my ipaq? My friend showed me his Apple Ipod. I don't suppose there are software that allow one to organized songs in a similar way?

i don't know about the iPod, but PocketMusic (http://www.pocketmind.com) has (at least with the feature pack (http://www.pocketmind.com/pmfp.htm)) an excellent playlist manager, and the normal file selection is pretty straightforward.

P.S.: This is not a hardware specific issue, better you had posted it in Multimedia...

You can also use CEPlaylist by Creative Engineering...

Winampaq is what I use as well. It's free.

winampaq is free, pocket music player supports streaming (shoutcast) though. both utilize winamp 2.x skins for familuaritys sake, though pmp gets a slight uperhand in its full screen mode and not needing to scale the skin down. Pmp is a bit pricy for a music player though since functionality wise.. its the same as winampaq and PMVP.

I use and like GSPlayer2 (the Pocket PC version). It has a clear interface, and though it doesn't have as many features as some other players, what it does it does well. It's available here (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/). The file you'll want is here (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/files/gsp185a_eng.zip).

WinamPAQ is my player of choice aswell. GSplayer is nice aswell, but I sometimes get a small gap in the music playing when I'm using other programs while playing muzak and switching between them. Aside from that both are great and free, GSplayer has a nice auto-resume feature.

Yeah, gotta love that auto-resume. The trouble with it is that it can get screwed up when GSPlayer is closed with a task-switcher.

Could someone please give me (simple yet complete?) directions on how to "activate" WinamPAQ once I have the file on my PC? I've dragged the folder onto my Dell Axim X5, but it doesn't come up on the program listing.

Thanks for any help.

So, what is the favorite WMA player that people use?

If you want a shortcut to it in your program list you'll have to make it yourself. See \Windows\Start Menu\
