Has anybody successfully tested the "virtual serial port" feature of Bluetooth??? Both my PDA (HP iPAQ5450) and my Laptop (IBMt30) support it.
I can start a COM Connection form my PDA and it seems to work (a green symbol is shown).
Problem1: After about 2 minutes, the connection is lost most of the time
Problem2: To test if the connection is really working, I wanted to use ActiveSync over that COM Connection. However, it doesn't work. ActiveSync tries on all COM-Ports but it cannot establish a connection.

What can I do????

Yes it works on my 2215 and Toshiba laptop.
First suggestion I have is to check the BT setting on the PC side. Make sure the serial port settign match up between Active sync, PPC and BT. (BT split the COM port into inbound and outbound usually COM5 and COM8).

You may want to serach the archive. Someone posted a link to a very detail BT setup guide last month.

Good luck

I got the activeSync connection working.
I just had to use the wizards on my PPC and set the Laptop's ActiveSync-Settings to COM4. Works fine.
The ActiveSync Connection also keeps connected as long as I want.

However, if I set up a virtual serial connection manually (without ActiveSync), i still get disconnected about every 2 minutes.
