Ok, here's one for all you encoding gurus.

I have some DVDs that are pure NTSC, which would require IVTC processing before encoding. The way I encode, which I believe is one of the least lossy methods, is to rip using Smart Ripper, run DVD2AVI saving a d2v project, converting the d2v to a pseudo-AVI with VFAPI, encode the pseudo-AVI plus the audio file into WMEncoder9 (don't want to start a WMV vs DivX debate, please). That works well for me, using the Force Film in DVD2AVI for my FILM DVDs.

The only way I have seen to do IVTC is by running TMPGEnc. That's fine, but I don't want to encode the d2v file as an mpg, since that would be a quality loss. Is there a way to process the IVTC without encoding as an mpg? Am I making any sense?

Thank you!
