Have you folks seen the new keyboards and mice (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/) that Microsoft announced yesterday? One of the keyboards has a padded "pleather" palm rest, and one of the wireless mice models has a pleather back instead of hard plastic. They all look very cool, though I'm not sure I like the "clickless" wheels. The Tilt Wheel feature is kinda neat, but I don't do much with spreadsheets or other applications where horizontal scrolling is common. If the tilt feature can be mapped to a function in games, however, I could definitely see a use for it.

I still won't buy one of their new keyboards, though, because of how much they screwed up the key layout.

And if you go to their News and Reviews page, you'll see a familiar name down at the bottom...taken in vain!!

I dropped Jason a note about it....

One of my officemates has actually sent feedback to MS about the demise of the Natural Pro, which IMHO was the best keyboard they've ever made. I use the Natural Multimedia now, and it's tolerable, but barely. Especially the idiotic F-Lock.

As for mice, these would have to do very, very well to convince me to give up my Logitech MX700. :)

But pleather, man, pleather! I agree, though... the MX700 is, by far, the best mouse I have ever owned.

It seems Microsoft may have seriously dropped the ball when creating the IntelliPoint software which accompanies these new mice. User accounts of problems with IntelliPoint v5.0 can be found here (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail.php3?fid=964118973).

And you thought MouseWare was bad, huh? I find it pretty stable nowadays.

I have to agree on the Logtech MX 700 being a great mouse (Thanks Janak for recommending it :) ).

I still have the best keyboard I've ever used - the Logitech Cordless comfort keyboard. I haven't seen a single keyboard that's more comfortable for me.

I don't see it on sale much though.. I don't think they sold many :(
