Have you had a look into the modem logfile ?

Go to "my device" in a file explorer. You should see a few files with mdmlogXXX.txt. They are text files that you can read in word or notepad and include all communication between your modem and your Pocket PC.

Cheers,

Oliver

hi, instead of leaving the Extra dial-string modem commands empty (Step 15 in Setting up the modem)

enter in:

+CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet2.voicestream.com"

and tap finish

and see if that works for you?

Of course that string is valid only if you're using Voicestream. Are you on this network?

Have this ever worked before?

Are you trying to connect GPRS?

Do you have data enabled on this account?

Have a look in our Geekzone Bluetooth Guides for Windows Mobile 2003 and check the screenshots (the phone used there is a Nokia 3650 too).

he linked to the set-up instructions in his first post - hence selecting that particular APN :)

sorry was away for a trip for a few days (having fun with an XDA II!!) - ok clear that string from the field - so as it's set up as per the instructions they have provided

just to check have you contacted T-Mobile to ensure they have set-you up for GPRS access, the operator may have to provision (i.e switch on) access for your account to that particular internet2.voicestream.com access point

can you post back the exact message that comes up?

when you try and connect can you look at the display, the G symbol should flash when attempting to connect to the GPRS service

when the connection is established the G stops flashing and it stays with a a box around it

what exact behaviour are you seeing on the phone screen when the connection is attempted?
