What's one of these cost?
I remember seeing VTOL's in the back ads in Popular Science back in the early 80's. They were advertised as government projects that had been dropped and you supposedly could buy one of them. I actually called the number in one of the ads to inquire about them (I think it was around 1983) They said that they did have them in stock in they were $100,000 each. I asked if they had any kind of financing plan, but they didn't.

Pricing looks dependant on how quick you want it, if I'm reading the pricing page correctly.... To get one of the first ones is $1M I think. You know, "personally affordable". 8O

I have seen specials on TV about this guy. He has been working for the last 20 years to perfect his "flying car" VTOL design. Looks like he is getting close to achieving his dream.

Well, if someone is willing to pay $20 million for a short trip to space using a soviet rocket, I am sure some people are willing to pay $1 million for the vtol vehicle.

I wonder if you have to have a special drivers license to operate one of those.

Great. Now we don't just have to worry about getting rear-ended or side-swiped. You'll have to watch above and below now too. 8)
