Hi all,

I recently bought a new Pocket PC, and it might be time to upgrade my app launcher as well.

I've been using StarTap (http://www.thumbsupsoft.com) for ages. I've had it since the days of the Philips Nino! 8O It migrated with me to my Ipaq 3630, Jornada 565, and now my new 1915! A true testimony to it's power.

However, I'm always in the mood to try a new thing. I've been a palm user for years, and I've enjoyed many great launchers: LaunchPad, Launcher III, Zlauncher, SilverScreen, and a dozen others.

So, my question is, are there any launchers for the PPC like Star Tap or Palm's Launcher X?

I don't just want a bar with icons, I want something with folders! I want something with a desktop! I want something with shortcuts and nice fonts!

Any suggestions?

I use Dashboard (http://www.snoopsoft.com/index.html). It has a launcher screen that does just what you want, plus all of the other enhancements that it offers. It also has a mini launcher that you can put on each of Dashboards main screens.
Combine this with Wisbar Advance and you got a killer combo! 8)

PocketLauncher from http://www.conduits.com/products/launcher/. Has icons and subdirectories. Auto-Import, on-the-fly category moving and deleting.
I'm completely satisfied with it :)

I've been thinking of going back to Dashboard. I used it with PPC2000, but not since. It seems like every time I look into it, there seems to be some confusion about versions. The trial version is the very old one, and I can't find info about the newest one, or even if it's still in beta.

If you purchase, or have purchased Dashboard in the past, then you can download the 2.0 beta. It is very stable and supports the 2003 OS.
I also used it with 2000 and just recently went back to it. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I started using it again. Expecially the appointment screen that actually shows tasks and doesn't give me a scroll bar!

Highly recommend Launcher (V1.3)

Have used it for a while and it works extremely well!

Best of all it is freeware - although you can donate if you feel it is appropriate! :D

If you want a launcher for fast and easy One Hand Use...try Vito Launcher.
....and look for VITO SystemTools release in October.
