PocketRocketFX (http://www.pocketrocketfx.com/html/ebooks.htm) has a lot of classic e-books. It's where I got most of my collection.

I usually visit a certain IRC channel for source files, and then I make my own books with Readerworks Publisher. It's really fun to do.

Don't forget the free Sci-Fi titles, in many formats, from Baen books. The URL is http://www.baen.com/library/titles.htm

Funny thing is, I've actually gone and bought books by the same authors simply because I got hooked on a series - probably enough to pay for what I downloaded, given the minimal cost of putting an already published book out in electronic format...

I really have to thank the authors at Baen who are supporting this...

You might want to remove the last dot on your URL there .... Nice site though.

Great site ! I have read a couple of ebooks in the past (mostly freeware classics, only bought a couple) and the past half year I almost haven't read anything on my PPC. Last week I was watching the movie 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' and I kept thinking that the character of Dorian Gray was an interesting one, so I went to the PocketRocketFX site and guess what ... I found the book the character in the movie was based upon ! Off course I totally blame spursdude now for making me arrive late at work today (kept reading in bed until 3 am ;))

What's so hot about Gutenberg free etexts converted to .LIT? Mobipocket Reader (and ubook) will read in the native .TXT. :P

Seems like everybody and their kid sister is publishing a site full'a .LITs either redistributed from another site, or converted in the garage. <yawn>
