CAN I SYNC INBOX TO A STORAGE CARD

Not possible. You can put the attachments onto a storage card (look in the Inbox options), but the core database needs to remain in RAM.

...which brings me to a question...why not have an "internal" SD card slot (e.g., under the battery like the iPaq 54xx SIM slot) for the databases and installed program (non-ROM apps) registry?

If the OS supported the idea, moving to a new PPC or swaping would be simple (provided the OS version remained the same)...swap the SD card. RAM upgrades would be simple too.

Maybe SD is just too slow?
