My school has recently set up a wireless VPN network and they have VPN software available to download so that you can log on. The software is for windows, linux, and mac (no pocket pc). I am assuming I would still need some kind of software to log on with my pocket pc (Pocket PC 2002), is this correct? If so, is it something I can download somewhere or is it specific to the type of network they run. Thanks for any help you can give. Just so you know I already have a wireless CF card and i have a wireless network up and running at my residence, I just do not know about VPN's...thanks again.

I have used this client before... it worked well with the hsrdware solution VPN we had where I worked before, I haven't tried it with the software VPN solution we have where I work now, so I couldn't tell you there.

Check it out, hope it helps:

I actually found this software to be a bit much in a way of configuration and user frendliness, needless to say I do not use it any more.

Well,

The PPC 2002 OS has built-in PPTP VPN support native to the OS. You can see how I use this to connect via a VPN tunnel to my home LAN...

PPTP VPN from a PocketPC (http://www.oecadvantage.net/ajarvi/PpcVPN.html)

Also, look at this MS PPTP VPN (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/resources/support/pocketpc/support_question.asp?cid=1&tid=5&qid=7) page for help...

So, the question is do you use PPTP VPN or IPSec VPN?
