I have a lot of .midi/.xm/ect. I was wondering if there is a program that can let me turn all of these files into mp3 format so i can listen to them on my mp3 player (archos multimedia 20)

Thanks

If all else failed, make a simple jack to connect the 'audio out' on the back of your PC to the 'audio in' ... and run some voice recorder software. That should do the trick :)

WinAmp can export as a wav file then you could convert that to mp3.

You could also try Deliplayer which converts striaght to mp3 but high quality conversion costs $ from what I remember.

There are several output plugins for Winamp to write directly to MP3/OGG/WAV/FLAC/etc.

Get Jasper's File Writer 1.17c (http://home.hccnet.nl/th.v.d.gronde/dev/filewrite/index.html) (the one on the winamp site is old) and install it.

Then get LAME 3.94 alpha 14 bundle (http://rarewares.hydrogenaudio.org/mp3.html) and unzip into your Winamp folder (not into Winamp\plugins).

Should be up-and-running then. Just select the output plugin and configure the settings.
