I have some files that I created with the Windows version of FileMaker Pro 2.1
Last night I tried opening them with Excel 2000. I was asked to "tab deliminate" etc. I tried both options but my files were filled with (I guess one could say) Jumble.
Anyone out there have success getting FileMaker Pro files into their PocketPC?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Lisa

If you have a spare 50 buckeroos kicking around you can download the mobile version of Filemaker. Rather expensive for a Palm/PPC app, they dont even seem to have a trial version. No wonder people look for other ways to get software.

If you are just looking to view the data on the Pocket PC and not synchronize the data, FileMaker, at least 3.0 and above, offers excellent export options that can be read by Excel or Pocket PC database apps like HanDBase.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I'm going to try to upgrade my 2.1 version of FileMaker Pro to at least 3.0 and try the exporting option.
Ideally, I wish I had 6.0 and the PPC version...but that was getting too pricey for me.

Thanks again,
Lisa
