Hi, having just jumped from Palm to Axim, can anyone recommend a good keyboard. Is the Dell folding keyboard nice to use or does another company make a good one (and not too expensive either). I might even go for a thumboard if anyone can truely recommend one.

Cheers, Shoks.

As far as I know, the only portable keyboard for the Axim is from Dell. I've seen it, and it's pretty cool. The buttons are significantly smaller than a desktop keyboard, and a little smaller than a laptop keyboard.

There is a snap-on KB for the Axim, but Dell doesn't sell it in the USA anymore (I believe). You can find one on E-Bay for about $20 USD.

If you need a KB, you're kind of forced to get the Dell foldable KB.

You can also use the Pocketop Portable Keyboard. It uses the IR port, so it will work with just about any PDA (good feature if you ever buy another PPC). It has been tested with the Axim and works perfectly. It is also a lot cheaper than Dell's foldable keyboard.

By the way, I use Dell's keyboard and I think it's terrific (not to mention styish). It's a bit larger than the Pocketop, but that makes it easier for me to type. Also, Dell's keyboard has a row of dedicated number keys, whereas Pocketop shares number keys with the QWERTY row. It's also worth mentioning that the Pocketop supports a landscape mode, so you can have more horizontal screen space.

Also, if you do get a keyboard, check out Wordcommands (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1146). It will allow you to use keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+B for bold, CTRL+U for underline, etc.
