I have my iPAQ 5450 upgraded to WM2K3 and found that it has problem w/GPRS + BT connection. I've tested w/ an 2210 and found no issue at all. Anyone have similar config. with any issues?
My iPAQ ROM:2.0.21
My Phone: Sony Ericsson T68i w/ latest firmware.

Update: And by the way... if you have no problem... at least give me a brief reply T_T

I am using mine without an problem at all.
My partner has the same configuration with the same phones (T68i & T610) and he has issues(keeps dropping the connection).
We both use the same telco as well.

The units are setup exactly the same so we can see not reason for the discrepancy.

The only diffenrence is the applications loaded.

My experience is that seems its iPAQ 54 + WM2K3 related. I have never able find someone shares the same issue before when ppl are running ppc2k2. My machine only has very simple software installation- and the 2210 I've tested does have very similar installation with my 5450. So lets see what other ppl will have similar issues.

Anychance you could switch phones, and see if the trouble goes with the phones? That seems like a simple test to see where the problem is.

Thats the simplest but most expensive test to do- which I HAVE DID IT.
No it wont works. I tried T39, T68i and T610 all fail in this test. So I am quite sure its iPAQ related. Also I have no other fellow with me before on PPC2002, while WM2003 seems quite a few ppl got that same issue with me.

I swapped phones with my business partner and come to the conclusion that it is not the phone. It is an issue with WM2003.

It has me a little perplexed though as to why i do not have any issues

I have tested on PPC2002 ROM again (since I have hard reseted anyway...)
It works perfectly fine. So its WM2003 upgrade- any clue about that? I have posted to HP support as well... hope they can come back to me real quick.

I am having those probleams
On 2002 the BT and GPRS work fine but after the upgrading to 2003 I am loosing connection and need to tern off the BT before I can make a new connection

I would like to encourage every user who has unlimited GPRS access to do such test and report the result:

connect BT, pair phone, startup GPRS connection
Goto MS Pocket PC web, download ActiveSync 3.7 on the GPRS

On ppc2002, entire download finished.
On wm2003, it NEVER completes.
I have tried on wm2003 with very light connection as well, in that case it last very long. It even doesnt seems dropped until you really put enough load with it. I usually cannot go pass 500K, the best is less than 1MB either. So I think you should not just put the link- instead try to navigate around, do some reasonable big download to test how good your connection really is.

Same here, I just recently upgraded my H5455 w/ WM2K3 and now I cannot stay connected on GPRS using my H5455's BT connected to my Siemens S55. I also tried it with the T610 & T68i and failed with both phones.

I used to stay connected w/ PPC2K2 with no problem!!!!

Wanna cry... PPC2003 is on my desk but I cannot install due to the annoying BT problem T_T when will HP come with a fix?

I thought that it was just my setup but I seem to have the same problem. I had no problems maintaining a GPRS connection with PPC2002, h5450 and my SonyEricssonT68i or T616. Now with WM2003, h5450 and same phones I lose the connection after a couple of minutes. I just tried the long download twice and it never completed. There always seems to be something that makes these devices frustrating. hp and Microsoft please help!!!
