WM2003 and alarms: is it fixed?

As a former [not happy] owner of the Axim Advanced, I'm thinking about giving PPC another chance (coming from Palm); in particular, I'm considering the 1940/30.
But a while ago there were reports about WM2003 and alarms not going off at the set hour, or alarms going of randomly.

Before I decide I need to know if this bug has been fixed? What was the cause?

There was an issue with the Spritewakeup Service and the 2210 PPCs and Sprite provided a fix for that. There are still people complaining about it though..
I am using an H5555 and my alarms work very reliable. 8) No problems..
