Is there anyone out there with the 1930 that could comment on the experience so far.
I searched the forum but came up with very little info, most posts are about the 1940.

AFAIK, it's exactly like the 1940, only without Bluetooth. But since no one has one yet (because it's not released), you won't find any first-hand comments on it.

According to HP, there is also another differences: the cpu speed is 203mhz, not 266mhz. And the ROM file store in the 1930 is smaller... so the ROM may be 16mb instead of 32. You may look on british forums, since the 1930 was released in Europe at the same time than the 1940. But for saving $50... get the 1940 instead! :)

If it was only $50 I wouldn't even consider the 1930. But here in Spain the difference is 85 Euros ($92), and to pay that difference for 60Mhz is hard to justify (I don't use Bluetooth at all). And it seems even less justified when everyone is marvelling about how fast the 1940 is: I'd figure that the 203Mhz unit must be pretty fast as well (although admittedly I sold my 400Mhz Axim because it seemed slow to me... :?)

All,

The 1940 rules all PDA's, even its little 1930 brother.

Really, it's the snappiest PDA I've used. No slowdowns. I barely know its there, even in my thin shirt pocket. I can browse the internet wirelessly via 300ft bluetooth (www.belkin.com). Plenty of storage (256MB SD, could get 512). Less than $300, great screen, great sound, etc etc etc etc

Best PDA i've ever owned.

i always hear about the yellowish tint on the 1940- very different from all the wows i hear about the 1910 screen-
does it bother you, or is it really only noticable for those really picky ppc users?

Starbot,

The screen are inconsistent; I believe most get nearly perfect screens (when looked at dead on) while others get a constant yellow hue. Go to the Brighthand 1900 series threads and see some fantastic pictures to see a "good" unit.
