Windows 2002 is also known as Windows CE what? LIke is it CE 3.0, CE 2.0? Thanks!

Pocket PC 2002 uses Windows CE 3.0 as its underlying operating system, if that helps.

Thanks so much. I was just curious because a lot of the freeware programs say "Windows CE 3.0 only". And I didn't know what 2002 was.

It should be noted that although the Pocket PC OS is based on Windows CE, it is not identical. So software written for Windows CE most likely would not run on a Pocket PC.

It's more complicated than that, of course. ;) There are a small set of programs written for WinCE (be it HPC or otherwise) that will work on Pocket PCs. But in general, yes, Kati is correct. Give it a try and see what works -- just make sure you've backed up your Pocket PC in case a program misbehaves badly.
