Hello everyone,

I'm new here. I'm 14, and I want to get a PPC... My main usages will be:

tracking 2 or 3 collections
listening to MP3's
going online at home
playing games
schedule
homework
reading ebooks

After reading tons of reviews, I'm leaning heavily toward a Dell Axim X5 basic 300 mhz. I was thinking about a 1900 series iPAQ, but did not like the 2.5 mm headphone jack thing... What PPC would you recommend for the things I listed above?

Thanks,
Matthew :D

I'd say get the h1910, and get an adapter for the headset, and deal with that. You have simple needs, and the h1910 is nice and small, which really works in school. I am on the verge of getting an h2200 because it would be a LOT easier to handle in school than my 3850 or 3970. but the axim might work nicely too, with it's larger battery power.. Just because I'm an hp buff, so I say h1910. but both would work fine, to be totally honest with you.

Can't go online with a 1910, and the 3900s are hardly in a 14 year old's budget. I think the Axim is a great product, but if you have really picky ears, you might want to go with a 2215, because the sound output of the Axim isn't the greatest. I mean, I think it sounds fine, but some people are more discerning then I am! But you can use a wifi card to go online at home and at hotspots in either of them.

Didn't you just post this question (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=153843&highlight=#153843) earlier today? There is no need to post twice.

dean_shan,

I realized I had posted it in software, and that is not where it belongs...

sorry,
Matthew
