i dont understand how stores can sell this for cheaper than the sd card alone...

i think i bought my cruzer for 65 bucks or something about 3 months ago...

Are you referring to the axim-sandisk SD fiasco ? I dont know, but I have been using a 256 sandisk on my axim for 5 months+ already, never has the mentioned problem.
