They banned all photos. ;)

Motion: That Jason Dunn post a message saying these are the last TEC weekend photos to be posted. In the future only a group shot will be available.

All in favour. Motion passed.

With those motions, photographs will no longer be permitted during the TEC weekend, except for one group shot.

Wow. 8O Jason himself banned the photos! 8)

Actually, if you reread it, Jason's just being ordered as the webmaster...

Now we know what Jason did in his spare time before PPCT.

I know... it's almost freaky just how much stuff you can find archived. I've found Usenet posts that I wrote more than a decade ago. 8O It's really quite amazing. I also find that several of my old (and now thankfully unused) e-mail addresses are immortalized in the Google Groups (http://groups.google.com/) archives. Spammers are the single largest reason I've stopped posting to newsgroups. It's just not worth it anymore.

I tell you, a horse used that toilet. Or maybe a bear.

What is TEC? If that was TEC30 and it's currently TEC37, and you're currently 28... does that make you 21 when the picture was taken? 8)

TEC stands for "Teens Encounter Christ" - it's an Anglican-based Christian youth organization desiged to introduce Jesus Christ to young people. Long-weekend events are held twice a year, and in the photo you saw I was working on a team called "SALT" - whose humble jobs included toilet duty. I was involved with TEC from age 17 (when I went on my first weekend) until age 26. I worked on every team except the ministry team (since I'm not a priest), but my favourite was always the worship (music) team. :-)

Since TECs are held twice a year, that makes me around 25 in that picture. I think.

I did a Google image search for "Cedrone" and came up with two likely matches:

and

So Steve, which one is you?

Using :google: it appears that the first pic is of "Gallo Cedrone" and the second of "Matt Cedrone". AFAIK Janak is the only person on the Thoughts team that has seen Steve C in person...

I think Jason might have met him before. Sadly, he doesn't fit either profile. On the other hand, if I had to guess, I'd say his face is closer to the second guy's... but he wasn't shirtless when I met him, so I can't positively deny the rest.

Hey, Aroma...I know this it O/T in the O/T forum, but....

What gives with change of your avatar? I miss the bliss!

An identity problem. I had some people who had thought that was me in the picture, instead of my wife, and I was tired of being mistaken for a woman! :) Also, I like this avatar better. My usual alias in most forms is back_packn, but there was a problem back when I first registered, and some quirk happened with my back_packn registration, where it would act like my login didn't exist but wouldn't let me re-register that login, so I had to chose something different.

Yup, I play and sing regularly at my church - lately I've been doing a few Jeremy Camp (http://www.jeremycamp.com/jeremy-camp.html) songs (which is better than making me sing like Steven Curtis Chapman). I'm practicing with a new music team now, so I think it's time to get a new bass - that Ibanez has performed faithfully for me, but as I'm older and more mature now  , I think I hear a Fender Jazz Bass calling my name. And since this thread is already personally embarassing to me I might as well continue to make it so...

If you're curious about my music, here's a recording of a live song (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/files/sound_doctrine_live-the-one.wma) I did with my band at the time, Sound Doctrine (I'm playing bass and singing lead vocals). It was done a long time ago - had to be about 1995, so I was a wee lad of 20. And like most live performances, there are mistakes galore. But hey, we jump into AC/DC's "Back in Black" in the middle, so that's got to be worth a few points. I've since learned to sing a fair bit better than that, but my voice was in pretty good "rock" mode back then. Now it's a bit more mellow, but I don't go out of key as much.

He must have hid it in his bag at that time. Do you have a security check on your office building ? The kind of security check that actually searched inside people's bags ?
