I have a dlink CF Wifi card (DCF 650w) and I am planning on getting an ipaq 2215. Will i be able to use this card with the ipaq 2215?

I have read that some cards need special drivers for Pockect PC 2003.

BTW, if anyone has used this card with the 2215, how´s long does the battery last on this units?

thanks.

I have the 650W and it works great. Don't expect more than an hour or so of continuous use.

well damn, my bad... i thought you could atleast get 3hrs... maybe just your brightness settings high on the backlight or that card has high power requirements... i noticed using a linksys that i could go 2hrs and still had power left...

I'd love to see how someone can get 3 hours of continuous use... like streaming a video.

I am lloking foward to switching to Bluetooth when I get my 2215. It seems that for regular internet access and syncs, BT is more practical and from what I understand it uses less power.

I don´t need long range. I just want to walk around my apartment and check my email without going back to my room, grabbing the huge wifi adapter and plugging it on my PPC. Most of the time I not very far from my PC and I yhink that Bluetooth could work fine.

I saw this BT usb prong from Belking that claims to work up to 100 meters. Thats more that I want.

For how long can you be connected using bluetooth before yout batteries ran out of juice?

I've just bought one of these BT dongles. I have been using a DLink BT dongle, but the range is too short. I have been able to surf for over an hour using the DLink BT dongle and only experienced about 15% drain on my 2210. Sounds like it is better than WiFi on the battery. I have held off buying a WiFi card for this reason. I'm thinking I might get a GPRS card instead now.... 0X

The Socket cards might be better on battery if you are prepared to pay for them :devilboy:

I'll post my experience with the Belkin Dongle here...
