HI,

First apoligies...I'm a newbie on the iPAQ. Just bought my 2215 in the US.

When I turn on the unit on the Batt-power, I most of the time need several pushes on the ON/OFF switch, before the backlight comes on....

I know that the backlight is in the Settings page, and yes.. I have set it to a good brightness. Most of the time, when I turn the iPAQ on again, it reverts to a zero backlight setting. The unit is functioning but no backlight. After an extra push the backlight sometimes comes on, but not always....often it shutsdown and then have to do the whole procedure again....

Following are the settings on tehe Backlight/settings page: :?

Battery power page:
Both icons ticked and set to 30sec to turn the backlight off when not used.

Brightness page: as said before, On Battery, 2/3 or so, On power: Full

What do I do wrong...? Quite annoying!

Thanks for your help,

BJORN

You might try increasing the time from 30 sec to 3 minutes and see if that helps. If it still does the same thing I would return the unit and exchange for another.

are you holding the button when you turn it off? It's just a quick tap to turn it off. Holding the button turns off the backlight... hold it again to turn it on so maybe you are holding it too long...
