Hi,

I am currently rewriting the Jezzball clone that I started writing about two years ago but never finished. I am at a point in the development cycle at which I need to test on some other devices before I can continue as planned, or rewrite some key functions. If there is anyone that would be willing to test out the latest alpha from http://evs.dellama.com I would really appreciate any comments and bug reports that you could post.

I have only tested this in the PPC2000 emulator and on my iPaq 2210. There are still some bugs to be worked out, hence the alpha status, but it is fairly stable. A soft reset may be required, but probably nothing more if that. Still, I would advise having a recent backup for any testing that you ever do. That said, I have had almost no fatal application errors thus far.

History: This is my first major excursion into programming. I started this project long ago as a learning project, but never found a sufficient algorithm to complete it. When I started college, I lost some interest in actual application development, but continued to learn and experiment with new techniques. I finally thought up the procedure I needed to finish this long overdue game, and this is where it stands. If you want to see what the original version looks like, there is a working(?) version available at http://evs.dellama.com/index?p=download , but I'm not sure how well it works on different devices.

Thanks, Chris

I have posted the next alpha and details over at http://evs.dellama.com . This version is Alpha 4, and it adds scoring, a timer, and better level transitions and fixes the level 5 bug where the game stops at level 5 on my iPaq. It may be lower or higher on your device depending on how much slower or faster it is than my 2210. That is why I need people with other devices to test.

The new ceiling for levels on my 2210 is 28, and I don't think anyone will ever get that far, so I guess that's ok. ( Yes, that was a challenge )

The first person to level 20 will get 1000 free copies of the finished game. ;)

Yes, this game is freeware.
