I'm thinking of buying a HP iPAQ H5450.

Can use Java in this device?

Is the a Java VM installed? Is there a VM available somewhere?
Does anybody know books or other resources about that?

thx

Read the resposne to your question on the HP boards...

Yes, you can. The run-time environment is by Jeode and it should come on the companion cd - otherwise $50.00 to purchase separtly.

I've seen a drawing demo.. seemed pretty quick.

It came on the CD with my 5550, so I wouldn't say it comes on the 2210 but I woukd assume it comes with it. You'll have to do the grunt-work of installing it yourself. ;)

Thanks.
I installed Jeode from my Compagnon CD and I even started my first "Hello World"-Java-Application...

It's a pity that Jeode is rather slow and that it doesn't support J2ME....

??
I recently heard about IBM's J9 Java Virtual Machine.
Is that running in iPAQs too?
Does anybody know where to get it?
??
