ipaq 3635 sound issue

My ipaq 3635 has a very loud speaker/headphone jack. When I listen to music on the lowest setting possible to WMP 8 with the ipaq, it is so loud I cant go any higher. I have used a free little app that letd you change the sound level from 0 to 100 and even on level 1 it is loud. IS there anything I can do? Thanks.

The Compaq iPaqs were all plagued with volume and sound problems. I have an iPaq 3765 which had a similar problem. After installing the "scratch" fix from Compaq/HP, my problem was solved. You might want to check it out:

ahh, that did help with the loudness when i restart it or do activesync, but when using headphones even on the lowest volume setting is extreamly loud...

Merlin Beta Rom Revision 2.07 had that problem install the newest 2.20
