Using two paddles and hockey-like rules, this single-player game pits you against the computer. There are a few other niceities built in, like difficulty level selection, independent paddle control and a "season" mode.

Maybe the best part of Pocket Hockey Pong is the price. You can go to the above Handango link and grab a free demo or buy the full version for only $4.99.

I actually demoed this about a week ago. It lasted all of two minutes before I removed it. In addition to the game being less than entertaining, it put all kinds of weird stuff in my start menu beyond the game itself. Freeware, at best, and then only if it gets spruced up some. $5? No Way.

It's pretty fun game. Tho' It's definitely not in the cerebral category, it is pretty amusing little stress relieve. The premise is familiar and gets you involved for a brief 5 minutes at a time, kinda like the classic PONG.

I put this in the category of popping bubble wrapper for brain. cheap simple fun.

Hmmm... where is the hockey in it other than the background?

Just curious...

I have no idea, it might as well be called air tennis or air fussball.....
but really, what on earth is "air anything" if you want to be precise. Plus I thought the sound, and the team/season mode are rendering hockey pretty good.

Hey guys what's happening, I'm the developer for the game and I just want to say thanks for all the feedback :)

I am creating version 1.2 at the moment which will fix the start menu problem, and will include more features such as multiple pucks, three paddle support, and 2-player support.
