Hi people,

In a months time I will be travelling to Italy to finish a Masters degree.
As I cant afford to buy a notebook, I intend to use my Jornada 568 to communicate with my relatives by means of e-mail and Messenger.
Can anybody out there suggest me the best possible solution for handling e-mail on my PPC ? I will be connecting to an Ethernet to retrieve and send my mails.
Forgot to tell you that this software needs to be FREE.
Thanx for your help

well all pocket pcs comes with email software. for that matter it's called Pocket Outlook. Can't get much more free than that. As long as you have a internet connection you can connect to POP3 or IMAP servers and get your email... you will however tho have to use the ISP you connect with to send your email (their SMTP servers) as most companies wont allow you to send from an IP they don't own. That's how spammers do it, use SMTP addresses and forward emails to everyone on that ISP as well as other ISPs. They don't like that.

There are other programs of-course but most aren't free and pocket outlook (contacts, calendar, tasks, inbox) come included with the HP PPC (as well asl all PPCs) so why not use what you paid for (yes it's included in the price)

And why not get a new Ipaq 2215 or even a 1945? The latter can be found for under $300 and if you look around you can find the 2215 for $340 and the $1945 for about $280 or maybe less... The Jordana you're getting is basically discontinued and even tho it's a good deal now, support for your device is crucial.
