I sure hope that this is just a glitch in the Best Buy website and not the actual price of the new Tungsten T2 that palm has coming out! There is no way anyone is going to pay that amount I think!

Mistakes with decimal points are so easy to make - it should, of course, be $69.99...

In my opinion, the Tungsten T really wasn't that great. It brought in OS 5, but Sony announced an OS 5 device even before Palm did!

The T2 just seems like a cop-out of the Tungsten. For your money, you could get the new Sony UX-40 or UX-50.

Or three Axims!

That's insane! For $700 you buy a Sony UX50 (like Dave said), or an iPaq 5555, the most expensive PPC on the market and have $50 to spare! I mean, the T|T for like $450 was high, but this is really crazy. At least when HP charges so much for their PDAs, they give you a lot for their money. This is hardly even different than the T|T, which goes now for like $300, if not less. I mean, how can they justify that against the Sonys, iPaq 5500, 2200, 1940, Axim, or pretty much any other PDA? Even the Clie NZ90, for $800, gives you something you can't get on any other PDA.

By the way, talk about leaked info. I guess this means the T|T2 is real. I hope for Palm's sake though that the price is wrong...

It says $399.99 now.

Still overpriced, if you ask me.

Maybe Dell should come out with a POS device........

it'd put them right in their place.

Weird. I just clicked the link. A window opens and right under the picture of the PDA (and right above the red Add to Cart button), it says Our price: $399.99.

Maybe your page is caching? Maybe it's because I'm in Canada and they got the whole conversion thing backwards.

I'm at work so I can't post a screenshot anywhere, but I swear that's what it says.

I forced a reload and am still seeing $700.

Weird. Right under there it says $699 for me.

I don't think it's caching, as it's on multiple computers. I believe you -- and I wouldn't be shocked if your backwards-conversion isn't off the mark. I wonder if you could make money buying and selling a ton of these ($399CDN => $699US = healthy profit )
