What is largest available SD card & largest iPAQ 5555 will support

What sizes are available in SD cards?

I have 512mb MSPro and 1GB CF cards and would like to have at least a 512mb SD or better yet a 1GB SD card. I've regularly seen 256mb but not any larger.

BTW what is the largest SD card that the iPAQ 5555 will support?

1 GB is the current largest size - but no idea who is stocking them (though they will cost a fortune if you can find one). 512MB SD is easy to find though (and getting lower in price). In thoery the iPAQ will support any size of SD card - SD is not crippled in the way that the MS/MSPro formats are...

Thanks. I will begin my search for the largest SD card available at a reasonable price. Good to hear about compatibility as I cannot use my MSPro in anything but my NZ90 PDA and Vaio desktop. All other peripherals and associate units are out in the cold.

256 MB SD has the best price/cost ratio. You can get a 256 card for $50 after rebates if you shop around. the 512s are a rip; the 1 gigs you'd better take out a second mortgage for, even if you can find them.
